Virginia Fife has been an active member of the Alabama Society of Electroneurodiagnostic Technologists (ALASET), previously serving as Secretary since 2023. Through her involvement, she has demonstrated a strong commitment to advancing the field and supporting the society’s mission.

A registered EEG Technologist since 2014, Virginia earned her CLTM credential in 2020. She currently works as a remote EEG monitoring technologist for the Epilepsy Monitoring Unit (EMU) and Intensive Care Unit (ICU) at Children’s of Alabama. Since joining the organization in 2013, she has held a variety of roles within the EEG lab and EMU, including serving as EMU Supervisor.

Virginia lives in Trussville, Alabama with her husband, Will, and their four young children. She is honored to serve as President of ALASET and looks forward to continuing to support and grow the neurodiagnostic community across the state.

​​Mary Franklin has been a dedicated and active member of the Alabama Society of Electroneurodiagnostic Technologists (ALASET) for over 25 years. Throughout her time with the society, she has served in numerous leadership roles, including Program Director, Outreach Committee member, Treasurer, President-Elect, and President, demonstrating her longstanding commitment to the organization and its mission.

Mary has been registered in EEG since 1999 and earned her certification as a Nerve Conduction Technologist (CNCT) in 2013. She currently serves as the Supervisor of EEG and EMG at Children’s of Alabama, where she has been employed since 2016. Prior to that, she gained valuable experience at Baptist Princeton and Neurological Specialists in Gadsden, bringing a total of 28 years of experience in the neurophysiology field.

Mary has a deep passion for neurophysiology and a genuine love for the ALASET community. She considers it a privilege to continue serving the society and supporting its members. She resides in Steele, Alabama, on Chandler Mountain, and is the proud mother of two daughters.

Jama Sexton is a Registered EEG Technologist with nearly a decade of experience in the field of neurodiagnostics. A graduate of Children’s of Alabama’s Neurophysiology Technology Program, she has worked with patients across the lifespan—from neonatal to geriatric—in both clinical and remote settings.

Jama brings over five years of supervisory experience in remote monitoring and has been trained in Phase II monitoring and associated modalities. In addition to her clinical expertise, she is passionate about education and has served as an EEG educator for the past four years, helping to train and mentor future technologists.

Jama resides in Prattville, Alabama with her husband and their four children. She is proud to serve as Secretary of ALASET and to support the continued growth and development of the neurodiagnostic community.

Deidre Perry brings nearly 14 years of experience in the field of neurodiagnostics. She began her career at Shelby Baptist Hospital, where she spent several years in the Neuro department performing EEGs and nerve conduction studies.

Since 2015, Deidre has been part of the team at Children’s of Alabama, where she has worked in both the Epilepsy Monitoring Unit (EMU) and EEG lab. In addition, she continues to provide neurodiagnostic services alongside neurologists in the Alabaster area, performing EEGs and nerve conduction studies.

Deidre holds multiple credentials, including R. EEG T., CLTM, and CNCT, reflecting her dedication to excellence in patient care and professional growth. She is proud to serve as Treasurer of ALASET and to support the continued success of the society.
